IEEE ICDM 2026 Workshop

The International Workshop on MedicalTime Series Analytics and Foundation Models

Date
November 2026
Format
Half-day, in-person
Location
Shenyang, China

About

About the Workshop

Medical time series analytics plays a vital role in clinical decision support, early warning, and continuous patient monitoring. The rapid growth of digital health technologies has generated large volumes of heterogeneous physiological and clinical signals, raising challenges in irregular sampling, multimodal integration, scalability, and privacy.

Recently, foundation models, including large language models and multimodal pre-trained models, offer a promising route toward more generalizable and scalable healthcare intelligence. This half-day workshop at IEEE ICDM 2026 brings together researchers, practitioners, and clinicians to discuss recent advances, open challenges, and practical paths for trustworthy medical foundation models.

Call for Papers

Submit Your Research

We invite original research on medical time series analytics, healthcare foundation models, and their clinical applications. Selected papers will be invited for extended submission to a special journal issue.

Theme and Topics

We welcome methods, systems, benchmarks, and applications for medical time series and healthcare foundation models. Topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Medical Time-Series Modeling (EEG, EOG, EMG, ECG)
  • Foundation Models and LLMs for Healthcare
  • Spatial Medical Time Series (Ultrasound and Video)
  • Multimodal Healthcare Data Mining and Alignment
  • Trustworthy, Interpretable, and Privacy-Preserving Health AI
  • Clinical Decision Support and Digital Health Applications
  • Benchmarks, Surveys, Tutorials, and Open Resources

Submission Guidelines

Please submit papers through the official ICDM workshop submission system at ICDM 2026 Workshop Submission Portal.

Manuscripts should be submitted in PDF format following the standard IEEE ICDM template. Full papers cannot exceed 10 pages; short papers cannot exceed 4 pages, including references and any appendices.
